Oi, that was a long hiatus, huh? Unintentional too; I’ve been so bogged down in baby and work and life and oh, my God, did you see the finale of Doctor Who? I mean, how can I blog without knowing who the Hurt Doctor is?!?
Sorry. My geek is showing. (But seriously, we should talk about this 12th Doctor business…)
I’m still not back full time, but I’m trying. My little itty bitty has become a big o’ terror who is almost but not quite walking, calls everything “Dada” and is constantly trying to hurl himself off of high objects. His favorite game? “Let’s bang something on something else so hard that I flinch, but keep banging away. Bonus points if if one of the objects is glass.”
This is normally the part where someone would say, “He’s all boy,” but I think he might be part demon. He sure is pretty, though.
If you’re DYING for an Alyssa fix (and who isn’t? I have a charming and effervescent personality,) you can find me at We Heart This, reviewing products for the lovely Stef and Tyna. They have started a new Indie Nail Polish Spotlight where I review independently owned and produced nail polishes like Model City. I have been a reviewer there for years, so I know the reviews are often glowing, but honest. And you can learn about new products, plus some fun tutorials and crafts, so come on over and play!
AND, as for today, if you really want to read me run on and on about something, I am pinch-hitting for the lovely Liz in A Practical Wedding‘s Ask Team Practical. It’s super fun visiting my old haunt and them letting me answer advice for someone, like I know something. Most of you are from APW anyway, so this isn’t news, but if you aren’t go on over and join the conversation. You definitely do not have to be getting married (or already married) to get something out of the site.
So hang tight for another week or so, and I will be back and bombarding your blog reader with inane stories once again. And if you are so inclined, let me know in the comments something you’d like to hear about. Would you like me to do a post on Doctor Who, or my insane love for BBC in general? (No? Sorry, that post is already half written, you’ll have to deal.) Something about motherhood you are curious about? (Cheerios are a gift from the gods.) Would you like to talk about nail polish BECAUSE I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO TALK ABOUT NAIL POLISH. (My obsession grows daily.)
And by the way, how are you? You look good, you been working out, taking vitamins? Keep it up.
Hugs and kisses, moppets!
HOORAY YOU ARE HERE. And Tater is so big and CUTE! I can’t even believe it! I can’t even think of a topic to suggest, I’m so excited.
Ha!! I love your reaction, it’s teetering RIGHT on the edge of “OhMyGod! I thought you were dead!!” I love it! And I’m glad you’re so excited, hopefully the upcoming posts will be worth it!
Ooh, yay! You are back! I’m looking forward to anything you want to write about (although I am especially fond of hearing about books).
Tate is adorable – and my slightly bigger girl also loves to bang on glass with hard objects, although she’s mostly stopped trying to throw herself off things.
You give me hope. He tried to make a nosedive for the dog as we were all walking down the stairs this morning. I, of course, reacted appropriately. “AHHH! Quit it! You’re gonna break your neck! That dog doesn’t even like you! What is the matter with you, child?!?”
He giggled and tried to rip my glasses off of my face…
You’re back !!!! yay !!! whatever you want to talk about, I’m there !!!
