Twice now, TWICE this week, I’ve had blog posts eaten by WordPress as I was typing them. I could go on a rampage about the uselessness of the new full-screen page and how auto-save apparently means “save when I damn well FEEL LIKE IT”, but no one wants that. Not on what is about to be a long weekend for most of us. (My condolences to those who are working on Monday. If it makes you feel better, I’ll be in Oklahoma all weekend but will probably spend the majority of it doing homework.)
SO! Let’s have some discussion of new additions to my blogroll and ignore the fact that WordPress IS A BIG FAT JERK.*
Emily is hilarious. And shares my thoughts on Glee. But if you read nothing else today, go visit the post that made me remember a childhood horror of mine and then read about one of
the most epic books in the history of epic-ness. And not just because she referenced Grey’s Anatomy.
I crush on The Sassy Curmudgeon so hard, it’s not even funny. Or appropriate. Or even possibly legal. Read her casting of a new Dirty Dancing (don’t even get me started….DON’T.) or this Scene from a Marriage and tell me you don’t start feeling all twitterpated.
Despite being genereally optimistic (to a fault), I’m normally fairly prickly when it comes to OTHER optimistic and positive people. At least those online or who wrote books, it always feels weird and forced, you know? However, Positively Present has continued to be a nice source of inspriation. Dani is never afraid to show her humanity or admit when things get her down, but spins it into something wonderful and positive for her readers. She’s not all “BE HAPPY LIKE ME!!” but is much more, “This whole life thing and living is kinda rough, huh? Let’s make it better for the both of us.” And I find that ridiculously refreshing.
Plus? Pretty pictures and easy to read layout. I’m a fan.
About 97% of you have already seen this, and 2% of you I’ve already told you about this or have sent you the link. For that pesky 1% that slipped through the cracks, watch this and then read more about this beautiful event here.
*All of the links in this post have been added manually. Because WordPress knows I’m talking sh*t and won’t let me link using the visual tab. Non-bloggers aren’t phased by this, but the rest of you? BE AFRAID! IT KNOWS….
I am loving you today. That is all. Carry on.
Ditto. YOU carry on.
Wait, I was going to say that.
Sigh, I guess you’ll just have to be loved by plural people today, Alyssa.
Carry on.
Ditto, times TWO!
So much love going around today…
