Suck.

As you may have noticed, Kind of a Mess has been kind of vacant lately.  Normally this is where I’d apologize, but I always kind of hate it when bloggers apologize for being absent from their blog for any length of time because then I feel like I’m an obligation, which in turns makes me feel bad. So then the blogger feels bad and then I feel bad, but the blogger doesn’t KNOW I feel bad, which makes me resentful that they’ve put their baggage on me, which then makes me feel worse and it’s just this violent effing cycle.

So I’m not apologizing.

Nope.

You get what content I give you WHEN I give it to you and you’ll LIKE it.

(please.)

Anyway, while I play catch-up with life and school and work, y’all watch my college buddy Lyndsey from Awkward Embraces in a Target commercial. Not only do I love Lyndsey because she’s hilarious, I love Target.  And scones.

And then if you have ever owned a cat, go here to read about Adam Ellis’s brain-damaged cat Lola on Books of Adam.

And continue to love me.  (YES, even you, Mom.)

    YIPPEEE commercial!

Also, I like your approach lots. No one has time to always blog or always do laundry or always eat all of the vodka gummy bears. No apologies frees up everyone.

I also hate it when bloggers apologize for not blogging. Hell, if you ain’t getting paid, not a problem.
    But come back soon, ok?

I am officially in love with Awkward Embraces. I might have wasted too much of my day yesterday watching. I just couldn’t stop!

And last night I saw that commercial on tv and started saying excitedly, I know her! Except I don’t. But that’s neither here nor there.

Thanks for directing me toward the story of Lola. It was a much needed series of smiles. (I’ve been paying attention to the news too much.)

No apology needed (I hate that too) and we’ll see ya when we see ya!
